Bingo
Bingo is a simple, fun game which has been around for many years, being played at home, in Church Halls, Clubs, Holiday Centres, Cruise Liners and anywhere where leisure activities exist. It's a game enjoyed by young and old and all sections of society.
Numbers are selected by Random Number Generators (RNG's) these days rather than the old bingo ball machines of yesteryear, but this takes nothing away from the raw thrill of playing and winning.
Bingo is played every Tuesday evening at 8:30 pm
in St. Mary's Hall Newcastle.
Bingo needs at least 40 players to be viable. Please come along and support bingo in your parish.

Chair Aerobic for Men and Women
Chair aerobic exercises usually consist of the rhythmic movements of arms and feet, performed by sitting in a chair in an erect position. It is ideal to perform the exercise for 20-30 minutes, on a regular basis.
Chair aerobics helps you perform your daily chores energetically, because it helps build the functional capacity of your body.
Moreover, they are very low intensity workouts, which make them easy to perform anytime you want, during the day.
All you need is a comfortable chair and a peaceful atmosphere, to do the exercise.
Chair aerobic classes are held on each Monday between 10:30 am and 11:30 am in the Parish Centre
Citizens online
The Internet is an interactive network that allows people to receive and send information. These capabilities have resulted in a range of applications, and you will want to share these as you build awareness of the Internet with others.
Communication
E-mail, or electronic mail, is the most common use of the Internet. You can save on long-distance phone and fax charges and not worry about the time differences and busy schedules that sometimes hinder communicating with others.
Research
Various tools are available to help people do research on the Internet. The amount of such information is astounding. To sort through it all and select what is potentially most relevant, powerful "search engines" have been developed that automatically search millions of Web sites when a person types in a keyword or phrase.
Commerce
More and more businesses and organizations are selling products and conducting other transactions over the Internet. They can post photos or drawings of their products, answer questions, and take orders when a customer supplies his or her credit card information.
Internet awareness classes are arranged when a tutor is available
English Language Classes for Non Nationals
Like many other parts of Ireland, Newcastle and the surrounding area has seen a influx of eastern Europeans who in some instances have a limited knowledge of the Englsh language.
The Parish runs English classes for Non Nationals. Our English language courses are manned by volunteers from the Parish and have been purposely designed to help non nationals gain both the fundamental skills of the English language and the confidence to actually use it.
Our volunteers not only teach the language, but also inspire and motivate.
Non-nationals are welcomed to English classes on a Wednesday evening between 7:00 pm and 8:00 pm
Classes may be arranged at other times if requested.

Feedback from members suggests that they find the club most relaxing and enjoyable.
